Rene DaSilva and Jose Alves were first to finish

Congratulations to Rene DaSilva of Vineyard Haven, who was first to finish the 16th annual Run to the Chop 5K race with a time of 17 minutes and 57 seconds. Katie Brown was the first female with a time of 24 minutes, 06 seconds. Complete results including winners in all age groups will be posted on www.coolrunning.com and on the Library website. Pictures from the event, including finish line photos, are posted on the Library Facebook page.

The race is sponsored by the Friends of the Vineyard Haven Library, and proceeds will support library programs.
