School Vacation Week Activities February 26th - March 2nd

Vineyard Haven Library has planned special programs for kids of all ages during school vacation week.

Monday February 26th

10:30 am Over the Top Storytime including active play and simple craft. Best for ages 2-4.
11:45 AM  -  12:45 PM    Community Soup & Bread Lunch by Island Grown Initiative. All are welcome! Drop-in craft to follow.

Tuesday February 27th

10:30 am Tales for Tots: Traditional storytime. Best for ages 3-5.

7pm Dick Jennings: Osprey on Martha's Vineyard

Wednesday February 28th

10:30 am Wee Ones: Lapsit storytime. Best for ages 0-2.
2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Build Club: Minecraft Perler Beads. For ages 8 and up.
3:30 pm to 5pm Kids Movie: Enjoy an ice cream sundae while you watch a movie  based on a New York Times bestseller, the film tells the inspiring story of a boy with facial differences who attends mainstream elementary school for the first time. Rated PG.

Thursday March 1st


2:45-3:45 Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with cake and a very special guest reader.
4:00-5:30 Kids Movie: A fun-loving bulldog, a wise golden retriever, and a hilarious Siamese cat travel through the rugged Sierras in a search of their missing human family. Rated G.

Friday March 2nd

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Craft: Day of the Dead confetti eggs. For ages 8 and up.
3:30 pm to 5pm Kids Movie: Despite his family's generations-old ban on music, young Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz. Rated PG. Also enjoy some Mexican themed treats!

Daily: Visit the Children's Room to create something amazing at the Tinker Table during school vacation days.


Children under age 8 should be accompanied by a parent or mature caregiver.
