Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation (MassDOT) is conducting a survey to learn more about why and when Massachusetts residents ride a bike. Results will inform future planning, policies and projects statewide. Take the survey here, through August 19th:

· What is the purpose?

o MassDOT is conducting this survey to learn more about why and when Massachusetts residents ride a bike, how the pandemic affected the way in which people bike, and what people expect their biking habits will look like in a new normal.

o MassDOT wants to hear from residents across the state, regardless of frequency and experience with biking.

· How will the results be used?

o The results will be used primarily for research purposes as MassDOT thinks about its role in facilitating transportation choices during recovery from the pandemic.

Fundraising Event with Author Martha Hall Kelly to Benefit Library Capital Campaign

Meet bestselling author Martha Hall Kelly, at an event to benefit the Vineyard Haven Library Capital Campaign

On Thursday August 5th at 5pm, the Vineyard Haven Library Building Fund will host a special fundraising event with author Martha Hall Kelly at the West Chop Club Casino. Martha will discuss Sunflower Sisters, her second prequel novel following her bestselling historical fiction debut, Lilac Girls. 

Reserve your place early to meet Martha and learn about the Library's exciting new program room project. A reception and book signing will follow the talk. Copies of Sunflower Sisters will be available for purchase.
