Art in the Stacks: Joe Palermo - Extended Through June
The Friends of the Vineyard Haven Public Library are pleased to present an exhibit of watercolors by Joseph Palermo this month. The exhibit will be on display during regular library hours throughout the months of May and June.
Born in Canada and a former resident of New Jersey and Florida, Mr. Palermo relocated to Edgartown three years ago. the 91-year-old, self-taught artist has been painting for more than 75 years, often producing a painting a day. His show at the library represents a small sampling of recent work, featuring Vineyard landscapes and coastal scenes, including several depictions of island lighthouses.
“Art in the Stacks” is an initiative of the Friends of the Library, to provide individual artists an opportunity to show their work, and for library patrons to enjoy art at the library throughout the year.
