During the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly 13,000 people have participated in virtual, online, and outdoor programs offered by the Vineyard Haven Public Library. While these programs will continue, the library is also exploring options for the return of indoor, in-person library programming.

Please take a few minutes to complete this survey - your responses will guide us as we plan what services to offer in the coming months.

Healthy Aging MV's 2020 Older Adult Survey

 

Healthy Aging Martha’s Vineyard is sponsoring an island-wide older adult survey - your chance to make your voice heard! If you are 60+ they want to learn about your life here on the island. This information will help inform future programs and prioritize island infrastructure to support our Older Adult population.

Survey: Planning for the B2 Business District

The Tisbury Planning Board seeks your input as they begin working on an Area Plan for the Upper State Rd B2 Business District. To gain a better understanding of how residents currently use this district and what they think could be done to improve it, the Board has developed a survey. development of the Area Plan and its recommendations.

Massachusetts Public Library Patron Survey

The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners is conducting a survey intended to learn about the current uses and future desires of the public library users across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. There are three parts to this survey:

1. Understanding your current library practices
2. Exploring your future expectations and desires of the library
3. Learning about you

This survey is completely voluntary and all data collected will be kept anonymous and should take between 5-10 minutes to complete.

Tisbury School Project Community Survey

The Tisbury School Building Committee is conducting a Community Input survey through May 1, 2017, to help determine a preferred site option for the proposed new school.

Literary Programming Survey

Philip Weinstein, the Alexander Griswold Cummins Professor of Literature, emeritus at Swarthmore College, will present a multi-part literature workshop in Fall 2017, sponsored by Vineyard Haven Library. We would like your input to help select the topics that will be covered. Dickens? Shakespeare? Donna Tartt? You can help us decide!

Tisbury Housing Workshops and Survey

Along with the five other towns on the Vineyard, Tisbury has begun a process to produce a Housing Production Plan (HPP). The HPP can be a guide to the Town’s decisions in addressing housing that is affordable for our workers, families, elders and children.  In Tisbury, the “how” of being proactive will be balanced with the equally important question of “where” it can happen.

Town Vision Planning Meeting Rescheduled for February 12, 7pm

The Tisbury Planning Board and the Board of Selectmen will host a public meeting to review the findings of the vision planning, present action strategies based on the findings and seek community input on near and long-term actions. This meeting will identify projects and set a working agenda for elected officials, town committees and community groups.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 7:00 pm at the Tisbury Senior Center, 34 Pine Tree Rd.  Community members are encouraged to attend this important meeting.  For more information see the vision planning web page on the Town’s website or email the board at visionplan@tisburyma.gov.

Have you ever checked out an e-book from your public library?

The Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, a non-profit research organization in Washington, DC, is conducting an online survey of public library patrons who borrow e-books. If you have checked out or downloaded e-books from a public library, please consider taking Pew Internet’s survey, available at the link below. All responses will be confidential, although your answers may be quoted anonymously in a future report. The survey should take about 15 minutes.

The Library needs your help in planning ahead and setting our priorities and goals for the next 5 years. Please assist the Library in fulfilling the requirements of the grant by completing a brief survey, available online or at the library circulation desk.
