Tisbury Master Plan Presentation 5pm Monday April 29th


Tisbury Master Plan Report Presentation

The Tisbury Planning Board will host a presentation by Barrett Planning Group on the Tisbury Master Plan report on Monday, April 29th at 5 pm at the Katharine Cornell Theater at 54 Spring Street. The Planninng Board will also consider a vote for acceptance of the Master Plan at this meeting. 

The full report and executive summary are now available on the Master Plan website. Printed copies of the reports are also available for review at the library.

Tisbury Affordable Housing Forum Video Available



On Tuesday April 16th the Tisbury Affordable Housing Committee hosted a discussion at the library, about affordable housing in Tisbury. The committee provided an update on the current situation, discussed Affordable Housing Committee priorities including Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and short term rentals, and took questions and ideas from the public.

32nd Annual Earth Day Beach Clean-up with VCS!

Vineyard Conservation Society has announced the date for this year’s Beach Clean-up! A community-wide event with hundreds of volunteers strategically organized at 28 (or more) beaches and other shoreline locations, including Owen Park, Owen Little Way, Lagoon Pond Landing, Lake Street Landing, Tashmoo Beach, and VH Harbor in Tisbury. Each year, this event results in thousands of pounds of trash being removed from our beaches. Don't forget the After-party at the MV Museum at noon!! Free lunch for all beach volunteers and the 2nd Annual Earth Day Festival!

Local organizations returning this year to work at designated beaches include the MV Bank, Lagoon Pond Association, Friends of Sengekontacket, Wampanoag Tribe of Aquinnah, Tisbury Waterways Inc., MV Surfcasters Association, Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation, The Church of Latter Day Saints, MV Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby Committee, MV Shellfish Group, Boy Scouts, Felix Neck, Harborview Hotel, and The Trustees. Special thanks to all the Towns and the DPW’s from Tisbury, OB and Edgartown, the MV Refuse District and Bruno’s for taking care of all the beach trash!
