Kids Tennis Clinics June 22 - August 23

The Tennis pros from West Chop will be offering free tennis clinics for Tisbury kids at the Lake Street tennis court in Vineyard Haven. Bring your kids to Lake Street for the appropriate age group session to sign them up.

Tisbury Tennis & Pickleball Reservations and Clinics

The Church Street Tennis courts and Lake Street Pickleball courts will be available to the public for daily use by reservation. The Tisbury Open Space and Recreation Committee, in conjunction with the West Chop Club’s Director of Tennis, David McNamara, will once again sponsor Tennis and Pickleball clinics for Tisbury residents in 2026.The annual season runs from Memorial Day into November (weather permitting).

Tisbury uses CourtReserve, an online registration software, to manage member sign-ups, court bookings, and clinics at the Church Street Tennis and Lake Street Pickleball courts. Tisbury Community Summer Tennis and Pickleball Clinics

The Tisbury Open Space and Recreation Committee, in conjunction with the West Chop Club’s Director of Tennis, David McNamara, is excited to continue our tennis outreach program in Vineyard Haven this summer. The partnership between the Committee and the West Chop Club was formed in 2022 to provide something fun, positive, and without cost to the community. 

Along with the new courts at Church Street, three new pickleball courts have been constructed at Lake Street. With this comes an expanded outreach program: An extra day of tennis and the introduction of pickleball clinics. 

Clinics - June 26th through August 25th 

• Free Children’s Tennis Clinics at Lake Street
• Free Adult Pickleball Clinics at Lake Street
• Free Adult Tennis Clinics for members at Church Street. Consult Church Street Tennis Information page for membership registration. 

Adult Tennis Clinics at Church Street: 

• Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 9:30AM - 11AM
• Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 11AM - 12:30PM 

Children’s Tennis Clinics at Lake Street: 

• Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 3-4PM (ages 4-8)
• Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 4-5PM (ages 9-12)
• Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 5-6PM (ages 13+) 

Inaugural Adult Pickleball at Lake Street: 

• Thursday: 9-10AM
• Thursday: 10-11AM
• Thursday: 11AM -12PM 

If the response is as positive as it was last year, it is our hope that the Tennis and Pickleball Outreach Program will continue into future summers. Coupled with the new courts, this is a great opportunity to build and foster a long term program for the Tisbury community. 

Sign up will commence two weeks prior to each clinic session. As June 26th is the first session of clinics, sign up for those clinics will open up on June 12th.

Tisbury Community Free Summer Tennis Clinics

The Tisbury Open Space and Recreation Committee, in conjunction with the West Chop Club’s Director of Tennis, David McNamara, is excited to offer a tennis outreach program this summer with free tennis lessons for Tisbury residents.

The Details:

What: Free clinics for Tisbury residents of all ages.
Where: The Lake Street Tennis Courts
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 28th through August 25th.

Adult clinics

• Session 1 9:00 - 10:30AM.
• Session 2 10:30 - 12:00PM.

Kids clinics

• 3-4PM for Peewees and Future Stars (ages 4-8)
• 4-5PM for Stars and Team (ages 9-12)
• 5-6PM for Academy (ages 13+)
