If you don't have a library card you can apply online and get instant access to our eBook collection. If you haven't used your card recently and it has expired, send us an email at vhpl_mail@clamsnet.org

If you don’t yet have a CLAMS library card, you can now register online and start downloading ebooks or use databases immediately. Here’s how:

You will need a computer or cell phone and access to your email account.

1. Go to https://library.clamsnet.org/selfreg

2. Fill out the form and submit. The screen will refresh, with your name, new card number and username. Print the info, take a screenshot or jot down your new card number – you’ll need it in just a moment.

3. Click the link in the first bullet point to log in and create a PIN/Password:
Login to My Account and establish a PIN (Password) Scroll down to and click Did you forget your PIN/Password? Enter your new card number.

4. Check your email for a link to set your PIN/Password.

Your ecard will now be valid until June 30th and will give you access to materials at OverDrive for eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines (when asked for your library, select “CLAMS Library Patrons”). It also includes all Massachusetts Library Database. Individually owned library databases such as Kanopy are not included. Please visit your local CLAMS library with a photo ID before June 30th to upgrade to a regular card with full privileges.

If you will be using your phone or an eReader, we suggest you download the Libby App.

Library Service Update

The Vineyard Haven Library building is currently closed to the public. At this time, we expect that library staff will be available to assist the public by telephone and email from 10am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday. Please leave a voicemail at (508) 696-4210 and a staff member will return your call.

Visit our library homepage www.vhlibrary.org for access to online resources available free with a library card, including eBooks, downloadable audiobooks, streaming video, language learning, online classes, genealogy, and more. Our librarians can assist you by phone or email vh_mail@clamsnet.org to getting started with any of these resources.

Please don't return any checked out items until the library reopens - all due dates will be extended as long as needed.

Delivery of materials requested from other libraries has been suspended, but holds will not expire, and we will provide requested material as soon as possible. We will reevaluate what services we can provide in a safe manner in the coming days.

Some library programs such as our monthly book club discussion will be held online or by conference call, check our events calendar or Facebook page for details.

Tisbury Police Resident Meetings at VHPL

UPDATE 3/13/2020: Future Resident Meetings have been cancelled and will be rescheduled

Tisbury Police are implementing "sectors" to better serve and be more accessible to our community. At this series of open houses at the library, come meet the Officers assigned to your sector, and discuss your questions and concerns. Residents are invited to come on the evening designated for their sector, but all events are open to all.

Dividing the town into sectors is to promote accountability for the officers and contact for the community. In an emergency always call 9-1-1, but general questions and advice, you now have an officer you can deal with directly. E-mail them and stay in contact with them regarding your complaints or your concerns. Officers will also get to know one specific neighborhood very well so they will easily notice things that are out of place.

Meeting schedule:

Sector A- East of Franklin Street and North of Skiff Avenue. Tuesday, March 10th at 5:30pm, with Detective Bill Brigham, Officer St Pierre, Officer Souza, and Officer Cutrer.

Sector B- South of State Road and South of Skiff Avenue Tuesday, March 17th at 5:30pm, with Sergeant Habekost, Officer Goeckel, and Officer Sidoti.

Sector C- West of Lake Tashmoo and North of State Road Tuesday, March 24th at 5:30pm, with Sergeant Day & Officer Gomes.

Sector D- East of Lake Tashmoo to Franklin Street. North of State Road Tuesday, April 7th at 5:30pm, with Sergeant Sherman, Officer Ogden, Officer Silvia and Officer Harrer.

If you have any questions e-mail Sergeant Sherman at msherman@tisburyma.gov, or check our website at https://www.tisburypolice.org/sectors
