This June the Friends of the Vineyard Haven Public Library will host an exhibition featuring the work of more than 20 Vineyard artists. The exhibit will be on display during regular library hours from June 6th – June 18th. A reception will be held on Tuesday, June 7th, from 5-8pm. This event is free and open to the public. A catalog for the show is available online.
The library has a collection of artworks that are displayed throughout the year, including 12 paintings by Vineyard artist Captain John Ivory. In addition, an "Art Wall" features rotating monthly exhibits managed by the Friends of the Library.
The Friends of the Vineyard Haven Public Library encourage public understanding of the Library's vital role in the community, support activities for both adults and children, and provide various other volunteer services. The mission of the Friends is to support the Library, to build a partnership between the Library and the community, and to advocate for quality library service.
