Biscuit, the beloved yellow puppy-dog of children’s books by Alyssa Capucilli, will be making the rounds of Island libraries in the last week of January.
The Martha’s Vineyard Library Association annually funds full-sized costumes for story hours, so that children can enjoy books and pose for pictures with characters ranging from Curious George to Olivia the pig and Amelia Bedelia.
Biscuit’s Vineyard visit will take him to Island libraries on the following schedule:
On Saturday, Jan. 25, the pup will appear for story time at the Chilmark Library at 10:30 a.m. and at the Edgartown Library at 3 p.m.
On Tuesday, Jan. 28, Biscuit will visit the Vineyard Haven Library for story hours at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
On Thursday, Jan. 30, Biscuit travels up-Island to the Aquinnah Library at 3:30 p.m.
Biscuit will conclude his visit on Friday, Jan. 31, when he visits the Oak Bluffs Library at 10:30 a.m.
