The Tisbury Shellfish Department will host Family Shellfish day to introduce kids, parents, and grandparents to the joys of shellfishing. The event is scheduled for
Saturday, June 25th at the Lagoon Pond boat landing on Beach Rd. Activities will begin at 9:00 am. Rain date is June 26. Through hands-on activities family members will explore the pond ecology, learn about shellfish, and how to harvest, handle, and prepare them. This is a family event. Everyone is encouraged to participate.
There is no charge for this event but participants must register. Online registration is available on the town website at
